Everything about these cars is the pinnacle of perfection for analog-enthusiasts, and we wouldn’t change a thing. Well, except for the stock tail lights…which are based on incandescent bulbs from the 80s and haven’t physically withstood the test of time as well as the rest of the 993. So long as the rear-end of your classic 911 is the only thing that everybody sees as you fly by, it might as well look good as good as it sounds, right?
Compatible: these are a direct bolt-on fitment for all 993-Era Porsche 911s from 1994-1998 including the Carrera, Carrera S, Cabrio, Targa, and Turbos. They use all of the stock mounting points, and should not take more than an hour at most to install. These are fully compatible and road legal with both USA and European 993’s!
Plug n Play: The Porsche 993 XB tail lights from Morimoto are designed to work without any modifications. These LED tail lights will plug into the factory connectors for the stock lights on all US-spec cars. The center tail light also has wiring for the integrated red rear-fog lights for Euro-spec vehicles.
Style: Just like they took the 993 to another level and called it their own, we have created a set of tail lights that are on another level and are calling them our own. Though unmistakably inspired by the design of the taillights popularized by the restomod cars, these are completely unique inside and out, and are made of all-new injection molded parts inside and out. They are the perfect tune up for the rear-end of your 993 that won’t compromise the delicate lines of the car. The red-lens model looks especially natural and could truly pass for original-equipment to those who didn’t know any better, while the smoked version offers a more aggressive and modern look.
Functions: The optical light pipe that wraps around the top edge of the housings highlights the edge of the integrated lip-spoiler, and acts as a low intensity parking light. On the left and right, four optics serve as the high-intensity red brake light, and amber turn signal. In the middle, two high-power white LED reverse lights are present atop the optional red rear fog lights. All optics are designed in conformity with DOT regulations.
Well-Built: The durable polycarbonate lens has been UV treated, and will resist the test of time, keeping the housings looking new for many years to come. All wiring and connections are OE grade, and the optics inside are designed to maximize visibility on par with modern Porsche lights. The price is justified, and as the saying goes: you pay for what you get. These tail lights are built to exceed OEM Porsche quality and should easily last the life of your classic 993!
